S4UG is addressing the design, planning and the management of urban green infrastructure

Context

Global, national, regional and local initiatives focus on providing a supportive framework for urban adaptation, promoting the integration of healthy ecosystems, green infrastructure and nature-based solutions into urban planning.

All these programs require homogeneous data collection and sharing methods.

Consortium & Consultant

GMV Romania is an independent company established in 2009 and registered in Bucharest. CeoSpaceTech is a research organization affiliated to the University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB). Even if it is legally represented by the rector of UPB, CeoSpaceTech is an independent research entity. The centre’s funding for research activities is provided by national and international programs through scientific research grants, contracts and projects.
CARTIF is a horizontal, private and non-profit Research Institution, whose main mission is providing innovative solutions to the industry to enhance their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. CARTIF is a multidisciplinary centre that works in multiple knowledge fields focused to many economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructures, health and environment, addressing research lines oriented to the main societal challenges, as industry 4.0, smart grids, smart cities, energy efficiency, cultural heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources and biotechnology. CARTIF is the leader of the Urban GreenUP project and consortium tackling the improvement of the quality of life in urban areas, raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment among citizens, generate new market opportunities for European companies internationally and promote the creation of transnational networks and synergies.
